Our Inspiration and Philosophy
A Message from the Owner
I started crafting jewelry in 2015 as a hobby during my first deployment with the United States Navy. Upon returning home, I made some pieces for friends and family but never thought about turning it into a business. I tried multi-level marketing ventures like Itworks, BeachBody, and Amway, where selling products and recruiting others were the goals. However, these products and services did not ignite my passion. The only creations that filled me with pride were my own.
For several years, I served in the Navy, which took up most of my time. However, in 2021, after falling in love, getting married, and deciding to leave the Navy in 2022 to start a family and chase my passions, I faced a challenge. It had been years since I had the opportunity to be creative. Fortunately, buying our first house and setting down roots provided the space and time I needed.
Many veterans can understand the need to "re-discover" oneself after leaving the service, and I was no different. The military doesn't focus on individuality, but I have no regrets about my time there. I worked as a Navy contractor from March 2022 to November 2023 after leaving the military. Then, with my supportive husband's encouragement, I decided to step aside to reclaim my identity. During a fall clean-up of our storage unit, I found my old jewelry-making supplies. This discovery revived wonderful memories and reignited my love for crafting handmade items.
Soon, I found myself immersed in creativity again, which brought me great happiness. I started creating pieces full of excitement, believing I could earn a living from my passion for creating. Whether it's crafting by hand or designing digitally, I thoroughly enjoy it. Since December 2023, I've sold my creations at various markets and pop-up locations. I have also enrolled in college to pursue business marketing and graphic design. I have been learning my way around Shopify, Etsy, and social media, all with the goal of building a successful home-based business for our future family.
Lastly, I'd like to explain the origin of the name "Eudaimond". It's derived from Eudaimonia, which means "human flourishing" or "happiness". This concept deeply resonates with me and inspired the name of my business. It represents my journey towards a fulfilling and purposeful life. Shopping with Eudaimond is a purposeful act. Whether you're buying a gift for someone else or yourself, it's meaningful, and my aim is to provide products that carry that significance.
